Meet Jessica Silva.

Jessica Silva is a Canadian children’s book author, educator, and mom of three who believes some of the best stories begin in the simplest childhood moments.

With a background in early childhood education and child development, Jessica has spent years supporting children as they learn, grow, explore, and make sense of the world around them. That experience, along with life raising her three boys, inspired her to create stories that feel warm, familiar, playful, and full of heart.

She is the author of the Milo’s Adventures series, which follows Milo through everyday experiences that can feel wonderfully big through a child’s eyes—from discovering the magic of the first snowfall to exploring new places and seasonal adventures. Through Stories & Scribbles, her work also brings together guided learning and creative play.

Jessica writes with young children and their families in mind, creating books meant to be read together, talked about, and remembered. Whether it begins with a story, a pencil, or one small question, every book is an invitation to imagine what comes next.

When she isn’t writing, Jessica can usually be found spending time with her family, dreaming up her next story, reading, or finding inspiration in the beautifully ordinary chaos of motherhood.
